JEM/HURRICANE RIM
The Locals' Favorite. If you’re looking for the classic desert riding experience, this is the area for you. The trails here wander through a vast area of sprawling sagebrush, punctuated by mesas and washes.
An observant rider is likely to spot rabbits, lizards, and small birds flitting between bushes, while ravens, hawks, and vultures soar quietly overhead. Boasting an IMBA Epic and over 40 miles of rideable terrain, there's a little something for the whole crew.

The newest trail network in our area hides atop the mesas below Smithsonian Butte. Wire Mesa makes an excellent outing for riders who seek a shorter excursion with majestic vistas of Zion National Park and it's towering sandstone peaks. An amazing place to spend half a day riding.
If you are driving up ‘cry baby hill’ immediately south of Rockville on Smithsonian Butte Scenic Byway you will need a high clearance vehicle or willingness to pedal up the road.

GUACAMOLE
This network of trails, situated at the foot of Crater Hill, overlooks the jagged skyline of the West Temple and Towers of the Virgin as well as Coalpits Wash (Zion's low land desert). These trails offer a variety of rippled slickrock riding in the intermediate to advanced realm. While there are some rock cairns and white dots marking the trails and junctions, **a map (printed or phone app) is highly recommended to assist sometimes tricky navigation.**
This classic riding area is shaped like a lollipop with various side excursions that deviate from the main trail, offering many great options for half and full day adventures. Accessible by most vehicles year round.

LITTLE CREEK MESA
Another fantastic example of Southern Utah’s world-class Slickrock riding. Open and undulating slickrock terrain interspersed with short sections of fun and flowing singletrack make for a ride that is equal parts technical challenge and fast and fluid. The trail along the West and North rims offer an unmatched panoramic perspective of the Hurricane Valley framed by the Pine valley mountains.
A detailed map and/or GPS with trail data will be extremely helpful for navigating the web of unmarked gravel roads leading to the TH, as well as the ‘lightly cairned’ slickrock sections of trail.
